A job is opening in Portland, Indiana.  We are in east central Indiana.


Position:       Technology Coordinator
Requirements:   College degree preferred or equivalent training and
                experience in related fields
Reports to:     Director of Curriculum and Research
Staff Assignments:      Corporation Media Specialist/Assistant to Technology
                        Coordinator
Contract Length:        203 days
Salary Range:   Compensation based on training and experience - $40,000+
Position Focus: To provide leadership in the utilization of technology as
                an instructional tool within the educational program

Position Responsibilities:

The Technology Coordinator will be responsible for all technology related
programs in the Jay School Corporation. They include, but are not restricted to,
the following:

I       Formulating purchase specifications for all hardware, software
and related system components
2.      Supervising the installation of computers and related equipment
throughout the district
3.      Coordination in the development, monitoring, and periodic
evaluation of a five-year technology plan for the district
4.      Design, administer, and maintain all networks within the school
corporation
5.      Coordinate the purchase, installation, as well as instruction of
computer software
6.      Attend conferences, seminars and training sessions to maintain
competency level
7.      Provide leadership in staff development opportunities in relation
to technology
