Thanks for scanner help

Thanks to everyone who sent suggestions about the scanner changing colors.
I finally talked to the tech. support people at UMAX, who were very
helpful.  They said my preferences had become corrupted and directed me to
trash a couple of files. This worked, and now I am able to scan again.
