Geography request

Dear Lm_netters,

My wife teaches a 4-5 class here in the Los Angeles area. She is
currently working on a geography project that is looking at the geograph
curriculum around the world. The information that she is interested in is
how is Geography taught in other countries.  In particular 3rd 4th and
5th grades or the age range 0f 8 through 10 years of age.
What is required knowledge for each of these age groups?  Do they have to
know the landforms of the world? Do they need to know about particular
cities? Questions such as these. Or other.  Thanks for any help that you
can provide.
