Thanks to you all for the suggestions.  I used the average of a single book,
$15.96  as my baseline and went from there.  I also used the figures from
School Library Journal, Oct.97.  Thanks for all your suggestions.  Some ranged
from $4.00 a student up to the price of a single book (which is low but
probably realistic).  The figures in SLJ were great.  They are useful in budget
justification.
