LM_NET 11/20/98: No Subject

If you're searching for a wonderful book, try "A Place Called Home" by
Deborah Smith.  It reminded me of Pat Conroy's "Beach Music" but not as long.
 The length certainly did not diminish the impact of the book.  Here's what
one of my English teachers said about this book -- you can't beat a review
like this!

"I want you to know that I was up until 2:00AM last night reading this book!
 I was dreaming about these characters, too."

Subject: ELEM: Uses for flatbed scanner

I am considering the purchase of a color flatbed scanner for the Library.
I think that my staff needs some convincing that we would actually find uses for
it, so I would appreciate it if you would send me some of the ways in which you use 
yoursin  an elem. setting. Also, I would like your opinion as to which is more 
valuable
for an elem. school to have -a scanner or a digital camera.
