Re:  Millbrook Press Preview Program
For several years I have participated in this program.  It is virtually
cost-free and although I am mostly "under-whelmed" with most of the
books, I usually purchase a few because they are on a topic I could use
a few more books on.  I chose about six I could use and glanced at the
price list.  Here are some examples off the top of my head.  (I'm at
home now.)   *almost $30 for a book on the Civil War   (No, it it was
not a huge book!)
*almost $20 for  biographies by Bill Guttmann of Deion Sanders and Scott
Pippen.
The Biographies were the cheapest in the 50 book set!  I wrote back that
maybe they had confused dollars with liras.  I checked the Guttmann
books with others in the series listed in the Bound-to-Stay-Bound
catalog at about $14.  There was a discount for ordering more than 10
books but with prices so inflated that hardly seems like a bargain.
When they call you and ask you to participate, I would decline.
