Pro-shelving

Hello!
I am enjoying the 'librarians as shelvers' thread!  It has been a while
since we've had an 'issue' going and I think it has been  interesting and
educational!

I am pro-shelving for a couple reasons!

First -Shelving gives me an opportunity to browse the collection the way
the students do! I often find something that needs attention, ie. repair,
recommendation, or removal !

Second (and  MOST important ) - I love to do it !!  My aide and student
helpers are very efficient  - but,  if I see a clutch of books on the cart
and have a few minutes, it's awfully hard for me to resist grabbing them
myself !
