MS Reading Programs

Dear LM_Netters,

I would like to know how some of your are implementing reading programs
(with either Accelerated Reader or Electronic Bookshelf) in the middle
school - primarily grades 7 and 8.    Our reading program will be
incorporated into the social studies/current events block which will
give the students 45 minutes three times a week for reading.  If you
have a program, how do you grade it?  what are your expectations and
guidelines?   I would appreciate any ideas that you would be willing to
share.
