Hyperstudio for PCs

Friends,
I attended a workshop on hyperstudio on MACs in the summer.  We have
ordered PCs for our school.  I have two questions on which I need your
advice.  First, have you used hyperstudio on your PC?  Please comment.
Second, we have "some" funds as a new school.  We are a K-5 New American
school.  Should we spend the big bucks on Hyperstudio for PCs as one of
our initial software purchases?  Or should we go for more "Carmen
Sandiego", "Magic School Bus"  types of programs that are easier for
novice teachers to use?  I lean towards production software like
Hyperstudio?  Of course, we'll have the Internet.  We also need to
purchase software for a closed circuit TV system.  So, what would your top
ten or twenty software purchases be?
