Here are some useful resources for information on block scheduling.
Please be aware that as far as anyone can tell, block sheduling is no
panacea for many of the problems in public schools today.  There are
success stories and much anecdotal evidence.  Most would agree that it
takes complete committment from both faculty and administration - a change
in teaching styles and training for teachers who need to learn them.
