Dear LM-Netters,


Our technology coordinator posed a question to me yesterday and I told her =
that I would ask you all today.  We have networked Macs in our school with =
a connection to the Internet coming through this network to all the compute=
rs. We have a Mac computer lab. The office and the library have the only DO=
S machines.  She asked why we don't we consider going to a Mac based progra=
m since everything else is Mac.  She also suggested changing to Alexandra..=
.


Everyone in our system is using Follett.  When we chose Follet 9 years ago,=
 we considered using the Mac version but it just didn't have the same capab=
ility that the DOS version had.  Also, when I was working on my 6th year, a=
 few years ago,  we looked at several automation systems and I still liked =
Follett because of its uncluttered screen...(for the kids) and its commitme=
nt to producing a quality product. =20


I looked in the LM-NET archives and found some comments about Alexandria an=
d from people who have converted from DOS to Mac.  <bold>I would like to he=
ar from people who have converted from DOS to Mac and Alexandra users who h=
ave changed from Follett.=20

I will share you comments with our technology coordinator.
