Hello all, This is a situation I have seen mentioned pertaining to libraries, but it is causing a mild panic for the second grade teacher. A new girl will be coming to our school from Germany who speaks very little English.(This rather surprises me, but I don't know what part of the country she comes from or if that would even make a difference.) There may be some community members who can help with translations but what is the teacher to do? I know, youngsters pick up new languages quickly ( I don't know how) but in the mean time, ANY words of advice and or encouragement???? Thank you, Helen McMaster (WITCHAVEN@AOL.COM) Veazie School (K-8) Veazie, ME =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= To quit LM_NET (or set NOMAIL or DIGEST), Send an email message to listserv@listserv.syr.edu In the message write EITHER 1) SIGNOFF LM_NET 2) SET LM_NET NOMAIL or 3) SET LM_NET DIGEST For more help see LM_NET On The Web: http://ericir.syr.edu/lm_net/ =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
