Hello all,
This is a situation I have seen mentioned pertaining to libraries, but it
is causing a mild panic for the second grade teacher. A new girl will be
coming to our school from Germany who speaks very little English.(This rather
surprises me, but I don't know what part of the country she comes from or if
that would even make a difference.) There may be some community members who
can help with translations but what is the teacher to do? I know, youngsters
pick up new languages quickly ( I don't know how) but in the mean time, ANY
words of advice and or encouragement????
Thank you,
Helen McMaster (WITCHAVEN@AOL.COM)
