I am an elementary library media specialist and I know that I get two kinds of professional journals. The first type I call philosophical, these discuss the issues facing practioners; the second type I call practical - these are the ones that contain how-to articles. I tend to read the practical journals cover to cover as soon as they arrive and leave the higher level ones for my "free time." My question is at the high school level which journals (specific names please) do you read cover to cover as soon as they arrive? I am inquiring for a friend how works in the marketing department of a software firm and they what to know where to put there advertising dollars and we know circulation figures alone do not tell the story of what gets read.
