Hawaii only - Target: Book vendors

Would school librarians who buy from vendors such
as Brodart, Follett, Ingram, Permabound, Econoclad
and others, share their experiences with the public
library staff?  We are currently buying books from
bookstores, publishers, vendors and even from Amazon.
com --- it's exciting to order books, but ordering
from Follett, etc. is new to us. Does anyone have
experiences to share about their experiences here
in the islands, especially on the neighbor islands?
