Happy Halloween! I've had my aide sticking genre labels on fiction books and we've got a question for all of you. Are there guidelines as to what constitutes historical fiction-- how far back does something have to go to be "historical"? Would a book set during the Vietnam War be considered historical fiction? I know my students would consider something that happened 30 years ago historical, but it's hard to put that label on something that happened during your lifetime, isn't it?! Looking forward to your comments! **************************************************************************** Shayne Russell Educational Media Specialist & KidsConnect Volunteer Mt.
