I am a rookie. My previous experience has been a teacher at
middle and high school. My new position is at a primary school with 50
teachers and 800 students. Teachers have been checking out up to 25 books
with a due date of one month. All classes come into the library each week
and each student checks out one book. The students may return at any time
during the week to check out a book. My question: Is it common practice
for teachers to have this amount of books with this length of time? What
is your policy on teacher check-out at at the primary level?
I don't want to step on toes at the beginning of my new
career but there has been a problem with teachers losing books. I think
the policy needs to be changed but need imput from those with experience
first. I will post a hit if there is interest. Thanks for your responds.
I post this hit on 8/28 but it was returned by L-Soft list with
notes at the end of each sentence picking out a key work followed by the
sentence: Try HELP. I do not understand what this means can someone
explain this. Thanks again for your help.
