elem: bookbear project - Lansing, Mi - Participation request

I would like to use bear (Be  Enthusiastic About Reading) as my reading
incentive theme this year.  As a part of this I would like to have a "Book
Bear" traveling to various states in the U.S.  It would be similar to the
McHenry BookBear project - http://www.fcboe.ga.net/floyd/bookbear.htm
(This project I would model on has been designed by Mr. Tony Pope.  I have
asked for and received permission to use his model).

To participate you would need to:
        Have book bear visit your school
        Fill out a short form about your state and school
        Send a copy of a local newspaper front page to our school before
book bear
arrives at your school
        Send "book bear" on.  (Mr. Pope indicated that Mail Boxes Plus was
willing
to do this as a service for them.
        Videotape a small segment & write a small journal entry concerning the
visit.

We would communicate with your school as to book bears journey and share
video, journal at the end if you so desire.
