Dear LM Netters, I have done minimal cataloging on paperbacks in the past, but now my lib. has a new circ/cat system with MARC records, etc. My question is how much cataloging should I maintain for pbks? I buy about 225 a year, and they circulate a lot. Our pbk collection is about 2,000. (Hardbacks 22,000) I know not all pbks have MARC records, but should I get Marc cataloging for those that do? This seems a small decision, but I could use some experienced opinions. THANK YOU. 8-] Saranne Gans Librarian Cistercian Preparatory School Irving, TX (Dallas area) mmsgans@onramp.net =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= To quit LM_NET (or set NOMAIL or DIGEST), Send an email message to: listserv@listserv.syr.edu In the message write either: 1) SIGNOFF LM_NET or 2) SET LM_NET NOMAIL or 3) SET LM_NET DIGEST For more help see LM_NET On The Web: http://ericir.syr.edu/lm_net/ =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
