Leslie -- I went through this process when our LCD panel gave out last
year.  At the time, I sent out a target message re: LCD panels/multimedia
projectors.  The OVERWHELMING response was that LCD panels are on their
way out, and multimedia projectors are the way to go.  After much
research and feedback from this listserv, we settled on a Sharp ... sorry
I am at home right now and do not have the model number.  If you need
that, write me back and I'll get it at work tomorrow.  This piece of
equipment received rave reviews from those who had used it, and cost us
approximately $2700.  Good luck.
