Elizabeth Forrest Library media specialist Poland Community School Poland, ME elf1@javanet.com I am looking for curriculum that seems to be hard to find-- "Study Skills" ideas (a years' worth) for 6th graders Originally, I started out with a LOT of pencil and paper work-- practice sheets, drills, etc. I have been trying to move on from this to what I see as more appropriate methods to use with this age. Integrating SS with with a multidisciplinary class, has improved them a lot. This year my goal is to develop a larger repetoire of activities (especially group activities) and mini-lessons which will use multi-intelligences to teach what I still see as being basically linguistic skills.Any suggestions? I have little formal training for working with with students of this age Thanks in advance. I'll post a hit if appropriate. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= To quit LM_NET (or set NOMAIL or DIGEST), Send an email message to: listserv@listserv.syr.edu In the message write either: 1) SIGNOFF LM_NET or 2) SET LM_NET NOMAIL or 3) SET LM_NET DIGEST For more help see LM_NET On The Web: http://ericir.syr.edu/lm_net/ =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
