About a week ago I was asking for information about CD's regarding library skills for the elementary grades. Well I got several replies of people looking for the same thing. One reply was on templates but was for the upper grades and too advanced. Several people mentioned Mrs. Murphy's Media Center from Highsmith. Well I called and got a catalog and there it is on page 493 along with another CD on Reference. I will probably order Mrs. Murphy's Media Center but it doesn't seem to be what I'm looking for. It says that the tour includes 26 short lessons on media center materials. It is divided into seven sections: the check-out desk, the catalog, stacks, references, periodicals, AV room, and work area. The one on reference Is probably okay but I guess I was spoiled by the 6 disks I had from Encyclopedia Britannica. Ian looking for something on using libraries, fiction and non-fiction, biography, alphabetizing, dictionary, and encyclopedia. With the disks I had before I could develop questions and have the students write the answers down as they used the disks (in their library folders.) Oh well, if anyone hears of anything, please let me know. Sue N.
