GEN: Tech wishes and dreams

Every now and then I have to have my little fantasies about technology and
libraries. Have you thought about how cool it would be if we could have
library cards with a swipe stripe like a credit card, that would contain
the students ID and other information such as internet permission? Wouldn't
it be great if they could swipe it to log in on a computer, and if they had
been noted for repeated abuses of computer use, the computer would deny
access for a period of time determined by the librarian? Ahhhhh, the future!
