It must be April Fool's Day, right?  Just to see if anyone was paying
attention...the Weed of the Month topic for **April** is biographies.
At the end of **April** we will paost web pages on the topic of
biographies.  Please share the good, the bad, and the ugly you find in
your biography collection with the group.

This may be a difficult topic to tackle, after all, we remember sports
stars from 20 years ago, but are our students today interested? Is a
biography of Bob Griese on the same level as one about jackie Robinson
or Mickey Mantle? How do you decide what to keep and what to pitch?  Is
a 20 or 30 year old biography of Davy Crockett sensitive to today's
concerns for portraying Native Americans accurately ?  Lots to think
about...
