Mackin is extremely easy to work with and has wonderful core collections.
One of their specialties is opening collections.  They do not, however,
discount as much as some of the other jobbers.  Our experience with Baker
and Taylor was a nightmare.   We had so many duplicates.  They could not
give us lists organized in a way we wanted--call number or alpahbetically
by author.  This was about 10 years ago so they may have improved.  For
price and speed you can not beat Ingram who has recently gotten into the
school market.  Their school rep is Don Hoffmann.  Michele
