2nd barcode placement - thank you!

LM_NET friends,

Thank you to each of you who took time to send me your thoughts on
placing a 2nd barcode in books and keeping an accession record.
There did not seem to be a clear consensus as to placing the 2nd barcode
but several placed it on the title page or the verso.  Since this was
where accession information was put in the books in our library I will
also put the 2nd barcode on the verso.
I think this is more a matter of preference and what works best for you.

Several indicated they did not use a 2nd barcode or number at all but
simply typed in the barcode number for the book until they could make a
new barcode for the outside of the book in the event it was missing.
Those who answered concerning the accession book gave strong
endorsements for no accession book.  Some hadn't used accession books
for years.  I'm about to join that group!

Thank you again for your input and ideas.  Each one is greatly
appreciated.
