Hi,

I have a big concern about the e-mail I have been receiving at school.
It is often sites for porno videos or other X-rated material. I use my
school e-mail address only for this list serv and recently our REMC has
a list serv. I have written several times to LM-Net for info and have
replied to other librarian's questions, but this is the only
communication I have done. So why I am getting porno? It is awfuly
embarrasing opening up one's mail in front of colleagues and there is a
piece of e-mail that is inappropriate. Is this list serv selling our
names to these companies? Or are these companies lurking and pulling our
names. How can we put a stop to this especially in light of the cases
out there about pornography in the workplace that are in the news at
this time. Is there anyone else who has received similar messages?
Thanks.
