I am a future Media Specialist (I graduate this summer) and a new member of
LM_NET. I am not yet employed, so I am actively looking for a job for next
year. I have an interview in a few weeks at a school which is going to be
remodeling their Media Center, and the renovations will not be complete at the
beginning of the school year next year. In fact, there will be no media center
at all for the first three or four months of school. Most items will be
packed up and inaccessible. I am trying to think of ways that I could present
that the new Media Specialist (hopefully me) can provide the best service
possible while in this situation. Maybe there could be some kind of a mobile
Media Center, or a classroom could be utilized or.....any ideas for me? Has
anyone ever been in this situation? Also, if anyone can give me any tips for
the job search, that would be appreciated. Thanks to all who are kind enough
to respond.
