Dear group, You people are so good at identifying obscure books and poems I wonder if anyone can help me with this. I'm trying to track down a story about a dragon I used to read to 3rd or 4th graders. I thought it was an E. Nesbit story from The Book of Dragons but it's not there. It's a humorous kind of story, it might be British. It's about 3 sons who try to outwit this dragon. He's too smart for the first two but the third one either outwits him or they become friends. I seem to remember that when one of the sons comes to the dragon's cave, the dragon hides above the entrance and then jumps down on the second son. The dragon is a very witty character I think. I know this sounds like hundreds of folk tales but if it rings a bell with anyone I'd appreciate hearing from you. Thanks. -- Janice Ziglin, Library Media Specialist Pilgrim Park Middle School Elm Grove, WI janicez@execpc.com =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= To quit LM_NET (or set NOMAIL or DIGEST), Send an email message to listserv@listserv.syr.edu In the message write EITHER: 1) SIGNOFF LM_NET 2) SET LM_NET NOMAIL or 3) SET LM_NET DIGEST * NOTE: Please allow time for confirmation from Listserv.
