Update on Birdy Book Challenge

Many thanks to those of you who responded to my request for help.  Several
responded with information on how the book Catherine, Called Birdy, is used
in your districts.  The teachers and principal greatly appreciated your
support.

The superintendent has written to the parent who generated the challenge
that the book will continue to be used in the sixth grade curriculum. Since
the parent has removed her child from class reading and discussion, she is
responsible for ensuring that her daughter receives instruction in Medieval
life so that the curriculum is covered as required.
