Electronic BookShelf question

I have read the debate concerning EBS and Accelerated Reader plus I have
looked at some literature. A quick question to the group: Can anyone
advise me about the relative costs of the two programs. Are they close?
Also, does anyone know if the format of EBS is only for DOS or if there is
a Windows version? Does this make a difference? I am wondering about how
easy and user friendly the interface is. We are now on a Windows
environment and I am much more familiar with the friendly face of Mac
programs. Using a DOS program concerns me somewhat.
