Recently renovated, the Pollard Middle School features a new media center facility with classroom, workroom, offices, computer lab and television studio. The entire school is wired for data and video. There are several electronic resources running on the school's local area network. Full Internet access is available in the media center and throughout the school. The collection is approximately 20K. Pollard teachers and students are experienced consumers of educational media and technology services. Programmatic expectations include: -maintaining and growing a fully integrated information skills instructional program with print and electronic resources within all disciplines -nurturing the love of adolescent literature for students and teachers -school leadership in curriculum development and thematic projects Administrative expectations include: -maintaining Winnebago(Mac) for circulation and catalog - collaborative previewing, selection and purchase of instructional materials -active participation in departmental (media/technology) and system wide staff development programs CERTIFICATIONS: Massachusetts Teacher and Unified Media Specialist CLOSING DATE: April 30, 1998 APPLICATION PROCESS: Please direct a letter of interest, resume and current letters of recommendation to: Stephen J.
