Oh, mwog (most wonderful of groups) I need your help again. Our senior English teacher and I teache the game of chess in conjunction with her unit on Middle Ages. Then she lets her students play for about 2 days in our media room. After that she leaves several games in the library for students to use and also has some sets in her room for her students. Until now the students have checked out the chess sets and taken them to their rooms to use. She has also let her students play after they finish assignments. Wellll - yesterday the asst. princ. told her that they could not play during school time. Please send me your policies on this activity. Also we need some info to take to the principal for our case. We know that chess is a wonderful activity, and that higher thinking skills are involved. How can we convince them that it is a worthwhile activity during school hours.
