This is one of those reference questions that my children's library can not answer, but I thought perhaps some of you might help. A friend is putting together a flower display around the theme "the flowerdrum song." She wondered what different colors had what different meanings for the Chinese, also what different flowers had special significance for the Chinese (and what the significance was) and finally , what percussion instruments are used in Chinese music? Does anyone know or have any reference tools that they could suggest would help me answer these questions?
