Dear LM_Netters- I see that once again requests are coming in for greetings from all over. This is an interesting activity and one that makes a big impression on students and faculty. I had made the request in the Fall and received over 100 responses. As a result I try to answer as many requests as I can. However when I see an request for a specific type of greeting (i.e. favorite book or favorite website) I tend to continue reading messages with the intention of answering later when I have time. I usually inadvertantly delete the post and then feel guilty about it. If ,on the other hand, I read a request for a regular no-frills greeting I usually follow the suggestions of a fellow member last Fall: I go to my Sent messages, find my generic greeting, copy it, paste it on a reply form and send it ASAP. This is not time consuming and is something I can do right away. Just a little something to think about the next time you are looking for greetings, especially if there have been an abundance of greetings requests lately.
