Hi ... for information write to: International Standard Book Numbering Agency R.R. Bowker Co. 1180 Avenue of the Americas New York, NY 10036 The first step is to get the ID number for the publisher. Then the books get numbers keyed to that publisher ID number plus, in effect, a serial number for each specific book. There is a fee for the service. The address is from a book published in 1983, so you might want to call R.R. Bowker Company first to confirm.
