Book: Small Steps

I finished reading Small Steps; The Year I got Polio by Peg Kehret.  It
is VERY moving.  I recommend it to you...I had tears as I read of her
struggle with this disease.
   It brought back memories of the fear we had prior to a vaccine.  I
can remember standing in LONG lines to receive the vaccine when it was
developed.  This generation has no idea of how lucky they are not to
worry about polio.
