We start our celebration on the first of April. We have a daily trivia
question that is read with the morning announcements each day of the month.
The prizes are all donated by local businesses and are things like movie
passes, video rentals, pizza, MacDonalds, etc. The questions are usually
book synopses that the kids have to identify. I also throw in a few sports
questions and some harder questions that they have to look up in the
library. Today's question was taken from the front page of the local
newspaper.

We also have a major prize that any kid who has no overdue books can enter.
This year our prize is a $400 CD player donated by a local store. We were
also given 17 Beanie Babies that are being raffled off (to buy more RAM for
our computers). We're also raffling off our old Apple IIE computers. And
to add to all the chaos, we also had a book fair this week. We are on
vacation next week so we celebrate NLW by sleeping!
