You were a great help with the copyright issue. I will share with you that most everyone told me that if you want to use a Disney movie that you should get a public performance license or use their lease library. They sue at the drop of the hat and have so recently. You also shared with me the face-to-face teaching using comercial videos other than Disney. I shared this with my teachers and I think they understood that we will not be renting videos or bringing videos from home unless they plan to write it in their lesson plans and use it appropriately and not turn it on and sit at their desk and grade papers. Now another question for this great group. If a teacher tapes something off the TV may they show it in the classroom? That was the question asked after I told them about the copyright laws. For example movies, discovery channel, history channel, A & E, etc. TIA Karen Solomon solomon@wtrt.net HerefordJunior High School Media Specialist =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= To quit LM_NET (or set NOMAIL or DIGEST), Send an email message to listserv@listserv.syr.edu In the message write EITHER: 1) SIGNOFF LM_NET 2) SET LM_NET NOMAIL or 3) SET LM_NET DIGEST * NOTE: Please allow time for confirmation from Listserv.
