web sites for parents

Hi,  I'm being asked to give a 40 minute hands-on presentation to parents
about the internet.  We have a 16 station lab with full internet connection
and hope to just introduce our parents (k-8) to the wonders of the web.

Can anyone suggest sites I should be sure to tell them about/let them see...
I will probably make a hand out listing recommended sites.  I am
particularly looking for sites that are parent/child oriented.

I do have a couple of books to recommend to them also but your suggestions
there would be welcome also.
