TECH: beware uninstaller software

I spent the entire day yesterday rebuilding my hard drive. I bought an
uninstaller and was very careful when deleting "junk" files. But when my
system crashed after trying to restart the computer I was told that
uninstallers only know what is uncritical for programs installed AFTER
you install the uninstaller software. Well I'm now attempting to
reinstall all my programs. My problem (at least one of them) is trying
to find Netscape Gold 3.04 to download. My system came with a personal
netscape navigator. Chuck Finnagin,if you're out there could you please
tell me once again where to go to download gold 3.04. I have searched
the internet to no avail. I thought I had downloaded it,at least
something downloaded for about 45 minutes, but it didn't override
personal navigator nor can I find it on my system. So, just a word of
caution to everyone, be very, very careful using any uninstaller
software.
