I received replies from Pat Moore and Ken Umbach on how to cite LM_NET sources for a paper in turabian style. Pat Moore said: For E-mail: Author of message. Title of Subject Line of Message. [Online] Available e-mail: receiver@address from sender@address, date of message. Example: Moore, Pat. Two Questions. [Online] Available e-mail: gary@comet.n-polk.k12.ia.us from moore@comet.n-polk.k12.ia.us, February 13, 1998. Ken Umbach said: I don't think Turabian addresses that. May I suggest something like the following for a footnote: Gail Shipley, message posted on LM_NET descussion group, April 27, 1998, subject "Gen. Turabian." In a bibliography (or, better, "Sources"), I would include a supplemental mention of (for example): LM_NET Internet discussion group. Various posted messages, November 1997-April 1998.
