Dear LM_NET Colleagues,

Here is what I received from a most generous and helpful group who sent
me recommendations for Information Literacy Websites. I have checked most
of them out, and I am very appreciative.

Listed below are links to information literacy and technology
frameworks, as well as specific research links that may be helpful in
creating your school's information literacy and computer skills plan.

Follet's Website for the Pathways to Knowledge model and they have just
mounted one. Eventually they plan to include sections of the Teaching
Electronic Information Skills books and some of my articles but the
Pathways model is there now for any interested
persons.

You can find our information literacy (library and computer) skills
curriculum at:
http://www.isd77.k12.mn.us/resources/infolit.html

I have also recently discovered that there is a Canadian site which has
good benchmarks for information literacy and technology at:
http://ednet.edc.gov.ab.ca/techoutcomes/sections.asp

From: "Sharron L. McElmeel" <smcelmeel@cedar-rapids.k12.ia.us>
I'm not sure if this will fit your needs but do take a look at the sites
Harrison Elementary students composed -- "150 Years of Literacy in Iowa" --
it has to do more with literacy than with skills etc. teaching information
literacy but it sure does show the changes in literacy programs/schools
etc. over the years. http://www.aea10.k12.ia.us/literacy/

From: Nancy Schiffer <nancy@khs.jcsd1.k12.wy.us>
The following website which suggests the best search engine
for specific purposes was recommended on Nettrain last week and I
think it's great (although it hasn't been updated recently). I sent
a hard copy of it around to all my teachers and they were thrilled.

completed. Here are my resources:
