I am looking for a relatively inexpensive full text periodical data base on CD-ROM. Hopefully we will be operating this system on a school-wide (K-12) network server and have access to a CD-ROM tower. For high school EBSCO's MAS Elite and PROQUEST have been suggested. Middle Search has been suggested for middle school and Primary Search for the elementary levels. I understand PROQUEST is about $2300. I doubt we can afford that much less a data base for each building. We are a K-12 district with about 500 students - 200 in the elementary and about 300 6-12. Is there anyone else in a similar situation who is using a product they like? What is the cost? What are the advantages and disadvantages? Thanks in advance for your help. _*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_ Kevin Dellit, LMS Hayden School District Hayden, Colorado kdellit@colosys.net =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= To quit LM_NET (or set NOMAIL or DIGEST), Send an email message to listserv@listserv.syr.edu In the message write EITHER: 1) SIGNOFF LM_NET 2) SET LM_NET NOMAIL or 3) SET LM_NET DIGEST * NOTE: Please allow time for confirmation from Listserv.
