Book recommendation

I have to recommend a book for you all.  It is "I Want to Buy a Vowel: a
Novel of Illegal Alienation" by John Welter.  This is an absolutely
side-splitting funny novel about an illegal alien from Guatamala who finds
himself in a small Texas town with no English but what he has learned from
watching Wheel of Fortune. There are subplots and zany characters and a
town gone awry by a teenage boy who goes around leaving Satanic messages
which include chicken livers and vienna sausages -- and a postage stamp
machine which has a distortion in the glass front that some think looks
like the Virgin Mary.

You have to read this book to chase away these end-of-the-year blues!
