Place Holders

Rhonda, I'm a K-5 library media specialist.  I have ALWAYS used place
holders (we call them "marking sticks") for all students K-5.
MANDATORY.  Our kids are great about remembering, or sheepishly hopping
over to get one if they have forgotten.  We tried the flexible white
ones available from Highsmith and found that they broke readily and
often and have gone back to our old favorites, paint stirrers from the
hardware store.  When we're feeling ambitious, we spray paint them gold
