What happened to cross-references? They're a valid way of pointing from obvious but illegal headings like Civil War to the standard United States - History - 1861-1865 - Civil War. They also appear in encyclopedias, the telephone books Yellow Pages, and standardized tests. They're one of my standard reference lessons when fifth grade does a history project. -- Ginger Williams, Library Media Specialist Williston-Elko Middle/High, SC vwilliam@sc.tds.net (home) vkwms@infoave.net (work) =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= To quit LM_NET (or set NOMAIL or DIGEST), Send an email message to listserv@listserv.syr.edu In the message write EITHER: 1) SIGNOFF LM_NET 2) SET LM_NET NOMAIL or 3) SET LM_NET DIGEST * NOTE: Please allow time for confirmation from Listserv.
