Hi, Everyone, With the coming school year at hand, I would really appreciate any fresh ideas for fun/motivational ways to teach any or all of the following info lit skills within the framework of teacher/librarian driven research units: 1. Identifying key words in a paragraph for note taking purposes 2. Synthesizing information and paraphrasing 3. Locating nonfiction materials by subject, ie a jazzy way to help children recognize the arrangement of materials by Dewey Decimal subject areas. Thanking you in advance. Hope you all had a great summer.
