Haptic space

Hello:

Here in Tarea (the institution where I work) a teacher
researcher  is working on a paper on the perception
that children have of space. How do they learn the concept of space.
She needs information on two aspects but any information is good:

Haptic space (is this term in english? In spanish it is espacio
haptico)

Espacio propioceptivo (I do not know how to translate this one!!!)
