This is really a simple decision to make, however, being somewhat new at this and not wanting to appear too naive on Tuesday when the kids arrive.... What is the best way to assign seats in a classroom (in your opinion, of course)? Details: I have a fixed schedule of 22 classes a week, grades 1-5. I have tables that accomodate 2 students each in the shape of a U in my "classroom". These seats are labeled 1-24 to help me stay organized! These are the possibilities I've come up with so far: Alphabetical order Draw a random number (1-24) Boy-Girl (Someone said this goes against Title IX / Discrimination) Let them choose their own seat, deal with problems later (As you can see, I'm getting nervous...)
