Yes, I did see the "disclaimer" re the statistical evidence, and
wondered about it -- esp. that the NYTimes still thought the
article worthy of publication. . . . and on the front page.
That's why I posted the info to LM_NET; so that others could
read, comment, and use for ammunition!

BTW:  I suspect we've all met people who tell you they know
someone whose life was"ruined" by the internet, etc.
Turns out they never really can give you  names. . . .
just that they heard about it from someone else.
Do you think the same fright rumors were spread
when radio first came out?
Think of all those people who stopped talking to
each other, because they were too busy listening
to voices in the air!
